My Feathers: I have been a tier of fishing flies for over 50 years. My saddle hackles and other feathers come from a number of sources such as Metz, Hoffman, Whitman, and many others. A few years ago I purchased a large quantity of emy feathers from an emu rancher and learned how to process and dye these feathers for the best colors. All of my hair extension feathers are personally selected and hand sorted by me, personally. Many of the saddle hackles and all of the Emu feathers are also bleached and dyed by me.
Pearls: Unless otherwise noted, all of my pearls are cultured, freshwater pearls from China or Japan and have been bleached and/or dyed.
Care of Pearl ~ Feather, Hair Extensions: Although plain, feather, hair extensions may be brushed or combed in place, one should never do this with Pearl ~ Feather hair extensions! The pearls would catch in the comb or brush and would very likely cause the feather to pull out or break.
